A Dream Deferred Photo Story
The following Photo Story was created using images from Google to represent my interpretation of Langston Hughes' poem A Dream Deferred. Photo Story is a great resource to help students connect their impressions, the artists' allusions, and visual imagery together while also addressing literacies and intelligences outside of the those traditionally focused upon in the classroom.
Here is a copy of Langston Hughes' poem:
A Dream Deferred
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?
